Manual Cleaning

We clean die heads and other extrusion components manually both at our premises and at the customers’ site.

Depending on your production needs and set deadlines we plan the cleaning schedule and operations together with your maintenance team. This way we ensure availability of all required spare parts and tools as well as designated personnel. Manual Cleaning can be a good option for the extrusion devices if they are still on warranty or due to size cannot fit our ovens. Or die head manufacturer does not recommend burn-off process for whatever reason.

Manual Cleaning Duration

When cleaning manually die heads or screws, the process takes much longer than thermal cleaning in the oven. For instance, a pyrolysis cycle takes 5-8 hours only. Manual cleaning takes upto couple weeks depending on the component size and number of people involved into the process. This needs to be taken into consideration when scheduling cleaning of your line parts.

When cleaning die heads and screws manually we use “soft” tools and materials to avoid damaging or scratching flow surfaces of the dies. Some of the tools and pastes you can buy from us for your further use.

Disassembly and assembly

These operations can be included into the scope of operations upon agreement. We can also replace the wearables and apply required greases and assembly pastes during assembly.
